...All I know is that before we started going to Christy, I was really good at avoiding feelings to the point where I wasn’t even sure I was having them or what they felt like. Being mad was “bad” and I wasn’t comfortable feeling it. I believe I was projecting this onto my children as well.
After going to the family center, I not only became more aware of my feelings but I also became comfortable with them. This allowed me to become comfortable with my children’s feelings as well without labeling them as “bad.” This revelation changed my outlook on life as I knew it. It was a huge relief to feel okay with who I was and what I was feeling. I’m very grateful to Christy and the family center.
